Privacy policy
One Guy's Investments does not intentionally keep any information about readers or subscribers. Those who email will usually receive a response, but those email addresses will never be shared with anyone else for any reason. Similarly, the number of RSS subscribers to the site feed is tracked (ie, if you subscribe through My Yahoo, or your Google homepage), but no information about those subscribers is collected by me.
Email subscriptions are handled by FeedBlitz, which is owned by Feedburner, the people who manage my RSS feed. To the best of my knowledge they don't do anything with your email address except send you the updates you request (you can get lots of RSS updates through Feedblitz, not just mine), and those updates should not have ads in them. I trust them and they have a good privacy policy up at http://www.feedblitz.com/privacy.htm
Various ad servers have access to the advertising portions of this site, but they are legitimate services that have privacy policies. Primarily, the advertisers I use from time to time are Chitika (not contextually targeted, I get paid per click), Google Adsense (contextually targeted, also paid per click), and Commission Junction (a few affiliate programs, including ADVFN, which pay me when you register with them or buy something). I agree only to provide ad space to them in order to partially subsidize my investment in providing this service. I do not provide them with information about the site's users, but it's possible that they may deposit cookies on your machine or otherwise try to analyze your behavior. If you click on those ads, you are leaving this site.
Site statistics are compiled by third party services, Site Meter and BlogClicker. They do collect general information about your computer to provide information that helps me to better target the service, but it is not personally identifiable. Sitemeter's policy reads in part, "We also log domain names and/or IP addresses. Site Meter does not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. This means that a user's session on Site Meter or sites using the Site Meter service will be tracked, but the user will be anonymous. Domain names and/or IP addresses are used to gather broad demographic information."
The site is hosted on Blogspot, which is owned by Google. The relevant privacy policy for Google is posted at http://www.google.com/privacy.html
