    The U.S. Department of Labor recently reported that Federal Government retirees would receive the "largest cost of living allowance ever."

    How come? Cost of living was pegged to inflation - which is still (officially?) around 2-3 %?????

    How can one protest this sort of blatant vote buying?

    Didn't they just state a few months ago that Social Security Reciepents will not recieve a "COLA" ?? Considering that workers were forced to pay SS and medicare contributions since starting work, how do they justify one and not the other since taxpayers foot both ...Oh yeah, there's more private economicy workers than Government employees.
