Because the first thread was getting so long maybe we need to start another one.

    Has anyone heard this ???

    Tuesday, June 16, 2009

At long last, Teddy Kennedy has partially revealed the health care
system he wants to foist on the whole country -- and it isn't pretty.

It won't be pretty for your pocket book... OR FOR YOUR GUN RIGHTS!

But first, let us explain what TeddyCare is all about.

At the center of the plan is what's called a "universal mandate." What
this means is that you -- and virtually everyone in the country -- will
have to buy as much health insurance as the government demands, and that
insurance plan will actually have to be approved by the government.

If you work for a small business, the business will buy the insurance on
your behalf. But you may be saddled with an enormous part of the cost.
And, if the employer's contribution is too large, you will be fired.

If you fail to buy TeddyCare, as the government orders you to do, the
IRS will fine you, garnish your wages, put a lien on your house, and,
    ultimately, put you in prison.

How much will you have to spend on your TeddyCare insurance? Teddy's not
    saying.

The portion of your paycheck that will have to be forked over to Teddy's
latest social experiment will be revealed ONLY AFTER THE MASSIVE HEALTH
CARE BILL IS SIGNED INTO LAW.

This should set off alarm bells in your brain, because, for instance,
the average family policy is currently $12,700. "So," proclaims Teddy,
"everyone's going to get a subsidy to pay for this." There's going to
be a "chicken in every pot," and no one's going to have to pay for it.

Yeah, right. If you're a welfare mother, the government will pay for
your TeddyCare, and it would pay for it -- the first time -- by taxing
employer-provided health benefits of working Americans. But if you a
"working Joe" your Kennedy-subsidy will be a microscopic fraction of the
cost of your mandated TeddyCare insurance policy.

Okay, all of this sounds ominous... but why is this a gun issue?

The answer is that TeddyCare will allow radical left Health and Human
Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to determine all of the fine print
in every TeddyCare policy -- which you will be required to buy under
    penalty of imprisonment.

Currently, as a result of the stimulus bill and a whole lot of other
factors, the government is rapidly moving in the direction of
computerizing all of your most confidential medical records and putting
    them into a federal database.

So remember when your son was asked by his pediatrician about your gun
collection? That would be in the federal database.

Or remember when your wife told her gynecologist that she had regularly
smoked marijuana ten years ago -- thereby potentially barring both her
and you from ever owning a gun again? That would be in the database.

Or if a military veteran complains to his psychiatrist that he's had
emotional stress since coming back to the States, that would be in the
    database.

Or remember when gramps was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, thereby making
him a "mental defective" who would have to relinquish his life-long gun
    collection? That's in there too.

And, while we are dangerously close to allowing BATFE to troll all of
that information, TeddyCare would allow Sebelius to put EVERYONE'S
private data in a database with a stroke of a pen.

When we say "everyone," we don't mean quite everyone.

Teddy has conveniently excluded Washington bureaucrats from his
    TeddyCare mandate.

Also, Teddy and his friends in the media don't want you to hear about
the details until after the bill is passed. That's why they're trying to
slam it through within the next month and a half before anyone's had a
chance to read or debate it.

In fact, the TeddyCare proposal is currently circulating around Capitol
Hill without even a bill number.

Privacy issues are of concern to everyone, no matter their political persuasion. I have plenty of friends, including physicians, who are working on health privacy, who are not necessarily Republicans. And I think it's going too far to compare a democratically elected president to an African dictator. You need to get these things in perspective in order to keep your credibility. What are you so afraid of?

I am seeing TeddyCare on several conservative blogs, but not on Fox news yet. I think I'd wait until a major outlet picks it up. I have also heard about a serious challenge to Obama's citizenship that is also on the blogosphere but not yet on Fox. It's like the Chrysler issue with Republican dealerships being dumped. When Fox starts talking it up, then I'll get serious about it. But I appreciate you making us aware of it Shred. If someone sees it on a major news outlet, let us know.

What has Obama done that is remotely similar to Mugabe? I've spent time in Africa, and I just don't see the comparison. Just saying he's like Mugabe is not making a coherent argument. You need facts and acts to bolster your argument. I'm tired of empty name-calling because it does'n't help me in trying to persuade people of a coherent position.

fastmoney, Obama's actions won't concern you if you can't (or won't) recognize fascism when it confronts you. ‘There's none so blind as those that will not see.’

Obama doesn't want a democracy...his attempts to establish a dictatorship are obvious. There's a reason he calls his operatives 'czars'. There's a reason he wants an activist judiciary.

How do you define fascism? My parents are from Italy, where they saw fascism with Mussolini. It really doesn't help the Republican cause to just throw around words like fascism unless you can actually demonstrate a specific act that can be defined or related to historic fascism. Please be scholarly and analytical if you want to convince people rather than just sound an alarm, where people are looking around and see nothing to be alarmed about. Exactly what has Obama done to establish a dictatorship? If you really want to build the Republican cause, you need to differentiate yourself from paranoia and the lunatic fringe, who are inciting violence. Tere is plenty of reason to be alarmed about the state of things, but name calling is not going to cut it.

‘There's none so blind as those that will not see.’

It is a waste of time and effort to attempt to convince you. There are many specific acts...micormanaging of the auto companies, firing Rick Wagoner, dictating executive compensation, assigning GM's new Chairman, setting mileage standards, forcing dealer closures, determining vehicle mix...these are not the proper function of government.

You can dispute terms, but Obama's direction is clear

American fascism won't be like Nazi fascism. For the people to accept it, it's going to have to be marketed and packaged like a Big Mac. The Dems know this.

Case in point: The 88 year old nut job who shot up the holocaust museum is going to be prosecuted for "hate crimes". It will add months and millions of dollars to the legal proceedings and if the guy doesn't die before it's over, it may double or triple his sentence. What's one million times zero? zero. What's a life sentence doubled or tripled? Still a life sentence. It makes no sense at all. But, you turn on your TV and all you hear is how this is such a wonderful thing that the government is protecting us from hate and we need more of these kinds of laws.

Case in point: Chastity Bono, born a female, is turning into a man. Never mind that it's impossible. Don't let that get in the way. There are medical doctors who will declare it official and legal authorities will also bless it, clearing the way for a legal heterosexual marriage. No stories about medical and legal malpractice. Instead, it's a great wonderful thing we should all be happy about. Forget about the ravages to the human body of radical chest and genital reconstructive surgery and mega doses of hormones all at a cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars. This is a good thing and we need more laws to encourage it at taxpayer expense, of course.

The last I looked, this forum is operated by Stock Gumshoe, with the purpose of discussing stocks and touts. You don't own it, nor do you own the Republican party. I don't think we're going to build the base of the party by ignoring people who don't agree 100%. That's a good way to get marginalized. If you try to drive people away from a forum you don't own or run, what purpose does that serve, other than creating an echo chamber? Why kick a potential ally? Sounds like a kid trying to keep other kids out of the clubhouse. Grow up.
  8.  Report Post# 23
Yep definitely here to argue. "Grow up" ???? Getting personal are we ??? Who is the one that has to grow up ???

If you were here to talk about stocks you would indeed be worried about the current absolute corruption of our government - it has nothing to do with parties but looks like you are trying to make it such. Political climate has a lot to do with returns in case you had not noticed.

And this has nothing to do with people agreeing all the time.

How is that for a "run on" sentence? Anyway....

Point in hand - this person is misrepresenting and I would argue actually lying about what is said on purpose because they are not tolerant to other opinions.
